a house divided

Joe and I typically cancel out each other's votes. He is a conservative Republican and I like to think of myself as a liberal-leaning independent. Yesterday, we cancelled out each other votes in the presidential election.

Joe stayed up to watch the results come in, but I went to bed early. Around 11pm, he came to bed. I asked him who'd won the election.

Joe (sadly): Your guy. Tomorrow, we'll wake up and all be socialists.

LOL! I was going to call you guys last night to see how the vote canceling went :) I must add that the comment at our house was much the same after we both were up late watching CNN. I went to bed...he arrived later to report. No matter what happens, it definitely makes for an interesting presidency with Obama in the house.

there was super crazy Obama-partying madness in Seattle. They closed down Broadway and I heard all the bars around Pike Place Market were wiii-ld. We heard firecrackers, too!

MCain did give a very lovely, refined concession speech.

:) Its the same even here on the base. I told KC that which ever guy won, he wasn't going to have an easy time with half the country against him!
