Uncle Jeff

Last Friday, Uncle Jeff came over. The rest of the fam had gone to a fish fry and Jeff, being allergic to seafood, decided to come over to our house for dinner instead. (We were having 4-H bean enchiladas for our Lenten Friday Feast). Of course, Uncle Jeff brought his guitar. You probably already know that our bedtime ritual includes a nightly concert with Dad on the baritone ukelele and Mom belting out the vocals and tickling the audience. Andie has decided the concerts are much more fun if she sits in her brother's crib, so she screams until I pick her up and put her in there. When Sam realized that Uncle Jeff was going to be playing a BIG guitar, he was so excited, he climbed INTO his crib. (Well, almost...he can't quite get in and out and we prefer it that way). It was a PAR-TAY.

With food. "This my cheesy roll-up," says Sam with his rolled up Big Blankie. (???).

And water in sippies. And crazed, screaming fans.
It was so much fun that, the following night, Sam repeatedly interrupted his parents' nightly concert with requests for "my Jeff and his BIG guitar."

Uncle Jeff, you set the bar too high. You'll have to come back again. Your fans miss you.

Can they come sing me to sleep every night, too? Maybe they could just perform on Easter? That might be ALMOST as good!!
