One of my favorite Kaufman traditions is their Christmas procession before opening gifts. We turn off all the lights and crowd into the back hallway. We each get a candle or a figure from the Nativity. (When I was pregnant with Sam, I got to carry Mary.) The youngest child gets to carry Jesus and lay him in the manger and then we sing some Christmas carols and say a prayer...
